GOD’S OWN PARADISE

Kashmir is a beautiful state in India. It is also known as god’s own paradise. Kashmir is always beautiful. Only its beauty changes from the radiant white of winter, through the clarity of spring, to the cool green of summer and the fiery colors of autumn. Pahalgam is a hot favorite with tourists for its scenic beauty and cool climate at an altitude of 7,200 ft above the sea level. Of course, you can’t afford to miss the Dal lake- the 6.4 km long sweet water lake that has always been a poet’s muse.

STAR ATTRACTION: AMARNATH TEMPLE

Situated 145 km. east of Srinagar, Amarnath is known for an ice shiva-linga, which changes its size with the seasons. The linga becomes 6 ft high on the full moon day.

THE MOST EXCITING THING YOU CAN DO:

Playing the shikara (a long canoe) across the serene Dal Lake.
